St Paul’s Knanaya Catholic Proposed Mission
About Us
St Paul’s Knanaya mission was established on September 2018. This mission is serving the pastoral care of around 150 knanaya families residing in the UKKCA units of Poole & Bournemouth, Southampton, Portsmouth, Basingstoke, Chichester and Littlehampton.
Fr Saji Malayilputhenpura and Fr Jose Thekkunilkkunnathil served in this mission until October 2019 as temporary basis. Fr Jibin Paradiyil was appointed as the first priest in-charge of this mission in October 2019.
Mr Remy Joseph Pazhayidathu, Mr Rajesh Varikkolil, Mrs Lijo Thekkedathu Joseph are serving as the trustees of this mission from its establishment till date. Fr Jibin Paradiyil was transferred in August 2021 and Fr Manu Konthananickal is the current priest in-charge of this mission.
Catechism is very active and classes for students from year one to ten are conducted twice a month. Mr Jomon Varikkamanthottiyil is the Catechism head teacher of this mission. More than 10 dedicated permanent catechism teachers are serving this mission. Every year Catechism Anniversary, family meet and Thirunal is celebrated to increase the bond between Knanaya family members. A prayer group is active in this mission and chain rosary takes place every Friday.
