St. Anthony’s Knanaya Catholic Proposed Mission, Wales
About Us
St. Anthony’s Knanaya Proposed Mission Wales was established in 2018, inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Saji Malayilputhenpurayil. This mission encompasses the faithful from South part of Wales Cardiff, Newport, Swansea, Brynmawr and Barry. Currently, Fr.Ajoob Thottnaniyil is the priest in charge of St. Anthony’s Mission. Initially two Holy Masses in Cardiff were held on the second and fourth Sundays followed by Catechism. Today there are four holy masses in Cardiff and one holy mass in Swansea. The Catechism for the children is also taking place with every Sunday Masses. More than 150 faithful families are part of St. Anthony’s Knanaya proposed mission. At present Benny Philip, Thankachan Jacob and James Joseph are the trustees of this mission, Biju Joseph is the accountant, the catechism head teacher is Thomas Uthupukutty. The main feast of our patron saint St. Anthony is celebrated on June 13. The faithful are trying to establish this proposed mission in the status of mission by their cooperation and hard work for the future generation.
