ST.PIUS Xth KNANAYA CATHOLIC PROPOSED MISSION

St. Pius Xth Knanaya Catholic Mission in Liverpool was started in 8th October 2017 with the Holy mass celebrated by Fr. Saji Malayilputhenpurayil. From that day onwards Holy mass and Catechism was conducted every first and third Sundays. Fr. Jose Thekkunilkkunnathil was appointed as the mission director in August 2018. Fr. Saji Malayilputhenpurayil became the mission director in August 2021. It was erected as a mission on 5th March 2022 by mar Joseph Srampickal. Holy Mass is celebrated in every week followed by catechism. Fr. Ajoob Thottananickal was appointed as the Assistant mission director from 1st June 2023. It this mission covers Liverpool, Chester, Preston, Lancaster, Wrexham and Blackpool. Now there are 6 Koodarayogam in this mission. There is a youth group in this mission. Holy mass is celebrated under the leadership and initiative of each Koodarayogam. Parish feast, Catechism anniversary, Youth charity event are the main other activities. There is a unit for Legion of Mary also in this mission and it was started in 2023. There is also a prayer group called St. Pius X prayer group working in this mission.
