ST JOSEPH'S KNANAYA CATHOLIC MISSION

St. Joseph’s Knanaya catholic Mission was established in 15th March 2020 by His Excellency Mar Joseph Srampickal, the bishop of the syro Malabar eparchy of Great Britain. Fr. Thomas (Joshy) Kottumkal was the first mission Director and George Pattiyal Mathai and Saji Uthup Koppuzhayil were the first Trustees of London Knanaya Mission. Reji Joseph Moolakkatt is the accountant of this Mission.

The main areas covered in this mission are Harlow, Romford, Southend, Basildon, Harrow,Stevenage, East London, North West London, Chelmsford, and so on. Fr. Mathews Valiyaputhenpurayil is the present vicar and Shajimon Poothara, Mathew Thazhathuthattarattu, Anu Joseph,Pullukattu are the present trustees of this mission. We have masses here at every Sunday. In First and third Sunday we have mass at St. Augustines Catholic Church, Hoddesdon and Second and fourth Sunday we have mass at St. Albans’s Church, Elm Park. We have mass at every first Friday of the month at Elm Park. Here we have regular catechism at every first and third Sunday. Mrs Mable Anu is our head teacher. We have—students in our catechism. There are 77 officially registered members are there in this Mission.
