Cardiff: Bringing great joy and pride to the St. Anthony’s Knanaya Catholic Proposed Mission (Wales), mission member Asher Mathew has achieved a remarkable success at the national level. Asher secured third place in the “SUVARA” National Level Bible Quiz Competition (11–13 age category) organized by the Bible Apostolate of the Syro-Malabar Eparchy of Great Britain.

This achievement reflects Asher’s deep knowledge of the Word of God, along with dedicated preparation and hard work. The mission community, under the leadership of Mission Coordinator Fr. Jins Kandakkattu, expressed their happiness and extended heartfelt congratulations to Asher for this accomplishment.

Mission members also acknowledged the important role played by Asher’s parents, whose encouragement and guidance greatly contributed to this success.

The mission community considers this achievement a proud moment and prays that the Word of God will always guide Asher in his life. Heartfelt congratulations are extended to Asher and his family on behalf of the entire mission community.

A warm reception was accorded to Rev. Fr. Jins Kandakkatil, who recently assumed charge of St. Antony’s Mission in Wales. The welcoming ceremony was held on Sunday, March 29, following the Holy Qurbana at St. Illtyd’s School Chapel, Cardiff.

The gathering began with a welcome address by trustee Mr. Alex Oravanakkalam. Mission Secretary Mr. Binu Kurakose Parambettu extended greetings, and Mr. James Ozhungalil conveyed felicitations on behalf of the trustees. As a token of love and appreciation, a bouquet was presented to the new priest.

In his reply, Rev. Fr. Jins expressed his gratitude and humbly requested the continued support and cooperation of all members for the fruitful journey of the mission.

വെയിൽസിലെ സെന്റ് ആന്റണീസ് ക്നാനായ കാത്തലിക് പ്രൊപ്പോസ്ഡ് മിഷനു കീഴിലുള്ള വിവിധ കൂടാരയോഗങ്ങളുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ ഒക്ടോബർ 10 മുതൽ ഭവനങ്ങളിൽ നടന്നുവന്ന ‘കൊന്തപ്പത്ത് ആചരണത്തിന്’ ഭക്തിനിർഭരമായ പരിസമാപ്തി. ഒക്ടോബർ 19, ഞായറാഴ്ച, കാർഡിഫിലെ സെന്റ് ഇല്റ്റിഡ്സ് ചാപ്പലിൽ വച്ച് രാവിലെ 9:45 ന് ആരംഭിച്ച ആരാധനയ്ക്കും തുടര്‍ന്നുള്ള വി. കുര്‍ബാനയ്ക്കും മിഷൻ കോർഡിനേറ്റർ ഫാ. ജിബിൻ പാറടിയിൽ മുഖ്യ കര്‍മ്മികനായിരുന്നു. വിശുദ്ധ കുർബാനയുടെ ഭാഗമായുള്ള സമർപ്പണ ഘട്ടത്തിൽ, ലീജൻ ഓഫ് മേരി അംഗങ്ങൾ കത്തിച്ച മെഴുകുതിരികളും കുട്ടികൾ ഒരുക്കിയ മാതാവിന്റെ ചിത്രങ്ങളും മിനി ഗ്രോട്ടോകളും ഭക്തിനിർഭരമായി സമർപ്പിച്ചു.

കുര്‍ബാനയ്ക്ക് ശേഷം ലീജൻ ഓഫ് മേരിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ ജപമാലയും, ശേഷം ലദീഞ്ഞും നടന്നു. മാതാവിനോടുള്ള സ്‌നേഹം പകർന്നെടുത്തുകൊണ്ടുള്ള മുതിർന്ന കുട്ടികളുടെ ജപമാല രാജ്ഞിയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പ്രെസന്റേഷൻ ഏവരുടെയും പ്രശംസ പിടിച്ചു പറ്റി. ആചരണങ്ങള്‍ അവസാനിച്ചതിനു ശേഷം എല്ലാ പങ്കെടുത്തവർക്കും നേർച്ചഭക്ഷണം ഒരുക്കിയിരുന്നു. ഭവനങ്ങളില്‍ നടന്ന പത്ത് ദിവസങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥനാനുഭവങ്ങളും, ജപമാല രാജ്ഞിയുടെ തിരുസ്നേഹത്തില്‍ ഒരുമിച്ചുള്ള ഈ സമാപനാചരണവും, വെയിൽസിലെ ക്നാനായ സമൂഹത്തിന് ആത്മീയ ശക്തിയും ഐക്യബോധവും പകരുന്ന ഒരു അനുഭവമായി.

തിരുനാൾ കർമങ്ങൾക്ക് ശേഷം നടന്ന മീറ്റിംഗിൽ വച്ച് കഴിഞ്ഞ 5 വർഷക്കാലം മിഷന്റെ കൈക്കാരൻമാരായിരുന്ന ബെന്നി ഫിലിപ്പ് തങ്കച്ചൻ കനകാലയം എന്നിവരെ മൊമെന്റോ നൽകി ആദരിച്ചു. ശേഷം മിഷന്റെ ക്വയർ ടീമിനെയും, തിരുനാൾ കൺവീനർ ജോസ്മോൻ, ജോൺ തോമസ്, ജിജോ തോമസ്, ജോർജ് തൊട്ടിമ്യാലിൽ എന്നിവരെയും പ്രത്യേകം അനുമോദിച്ചു. അനുഗ്രഹദായകവും വിശ്വാസ ദീപ്തവും ഒപ്പം സ്‌നേഹത്തിന്റെയും കൂട്ടായ്മയുടെയും സുദിനമായി മാറിയ തിരുനാള്‍ ആഘോഷങ്ങളില്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കുവാന്‍ എത്തിയ എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും തിരുനാള്‍ കമ്മറ്റി കണ്‍വീനർ ജോസ്മോൻ വലിയവെളിച്ചത്തിൽ നന്ദി പ്രകാശിപ്പിച്ചു.

തിരുനാള്‍ തിരുക്കര്‍മ്മങ്ങളില്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കുവാന്‍ എത്തിയവര്‍ക്ക് സ്‌നേഹവിരുന്നും തിരുനാൾ കമ്മറ്റി ക്രമീകരിച്ചിരുന്നു. മിഷനുവേണ്ടിയുള്ള ഫണ്ട് റെയ്‌സിംഗിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി ടിജോ ലൂക്കോസിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ ഗെയിംസും, ലേലം വിളിയും സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു. വൈകുന്നേരം 3 മണിയോടെ മിഷൻ കോർഡിനേറ്റർ കൊടിയിറക്കിയതോടുകൂടി ഈ വർഷത്തെ ഇടവക തിരുനാളിന് പരിസമാപ്തിയായി.

തിരുനാളിന് മുന്നോടിയായി 41 അംഗ പ്രസുദേന്തിമാരെയും മിഷൻകമ്മിറ്റി അംഗങ്ങളെയും ഇടവക ജനങ്ങളെയും ഉള്‍പ്പെടുത്തി രൂപീകരിച്ച വിവിധ കമ്മറ്റികളുടെ കാര്യക്ഷമമായ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങളാണ് തിരുനാള്‍ ആഘോഷങ്ങളുടെ വലിയവിജയത്തിന് സഹായകരമായത്.

തിരുനാള്‍ ക്രമീകരണങ്ങളുടെ വിവിധ കമ്മറ്റികളുടെ നേതൃനിരയിലുണ്ടായിരുന്നവരെ കൈക്കാരന്മാരായ ജെയിംസ് ജോസഫ്, അലക്സ് ഒറവണക്കളം, ബിനുമോൾ ഷിബു എന്നിവര്‍ അഭിനന്ദിച്ചു. കേരളത്തില്‍നിന്നും വെയിൽസിലെ വിവിധ പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ താമസിക്കുന്ന വിശ്വാസി സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ സാന്നിധ്യവും പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥനകളും ഈ തിരുനാളിലുണ്ടായത് മിഷൻ അംഗങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടായ്മയും സ്‌നേഹവും വിളിച്ചോതുന്നതും അത് പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടതുമാണെന്നും തിരുനാള്‍ കമ്മറ്റി വിലയിരുത്തി.
